Dr. Michael Pritchard, photographic historian and Director of Education and Public Affairs at The Royal Photographic Society (RPS), will give a talk on the role of the RPS in the history of photography.

The talk will look at the formation of the Royal Photographic Society and the role that it played in British photography, particularly through the nineteenth and early twentieth century. It will look at its activities and the members of the Society and through the use of historic images, mainly from the RPS Collection, it will also tell a history of photography.

The talk will last approx. one hour, followed by a Q&A session.

The location is the Thomas Telford Centre (opposite Waitrose in Menai Bridge). The venue is accessible by wheelchair.
