Liverpool Street Photography

This is a practical one-day shoot documenting the historic city of Liverpool, a fantastic place to spend a weekend. You will be given a choice of project briefs to work from and receive guidance throughout the day from the tutor Tim Daly, who has been documenting the city since the 1980s. Potential themes include the historic waterfront, the hidden city and traces of the past and the tutor will provide you with tips on little-known locations, suggested walking routes and great places to shoot.

Day schedule

10.30 Meet at Wilkinson Cameras, Bold St. Project briefing in the base room. What to shoot, what to look for and how to approach the day.

11.00 Shooting on location in Liverpool city centre. We will make a leisurely walk, taking the chance to shoot where possible.

13.00 -13.45 Lunch at The Bluecoat. Quick reviews and queries

14.00 – Shooting on location. You can work on your own project ideas, or follow a second project brief set by the tutor. During this time, you could take a ride on the famous Mersey Ferry.
