THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO STUDENTS ATTENDING DR CHALLONERS GRAMMAR SCHOOL ONLY

Join award winning landscape and wildlife photographer Andrew Scriven on his Intermediate Photography Course, run in partnership with the Royal Photographic Society here at Dr Challoner's GS.

Following on from the Introductory course, Andrew will help develop the students' understanding of their cameras, covering how and when to adjust ISO, setting aperture and shutter speed, and adjusting exposure levels. Scenarios will be set up in the classroom and students will have an opportunity to practice their skills.

Throughout the term, students will be encouraged to create a photographic project, following an agreed theme. This can be worked on in and out of class, with Andrew's input. At the end of the course, up to 8 photographs will be printed for each student, which the students can keep.

As always, Andrew will be encouraging the students to approach their photography in a mindful way, with an emphasis on awareness and enjoyment.

This course is designed for students with DSLRs, mirrorless and bridge cameras (with manual controls) but students are welcome to attend with any camera.  Students do not need to have attended the 'Introduction to Photography class' to attend, but it is recommended. The Introduction to Photography class is available in the Spring Term also
